Installing shingles on a roof can be a challenging task, as it requires a lot of physical effort. Climbing up and down the ladder with shingles is not an easy job. You need to figure out how to place the first few rows of shingles on the lower edge of the roof. Even on a rear roof, you can use a roof lift to stack bundles of shingles.
If you have already installed a waterproof membrane or other underlayer on the bottom of the roof, then you need to be extra careful when removing the old shingles and nails. They can easily damage the products you have installed if they slip across the roof.
